GOLF

The modern 27-hole course was designed and built by Robert Trent Jones Sr. It was built on an area of over one million square meters, including and expanding the area of ​​the pre-existing 9 holes. The course is located in an ideal area between ancient trees, streams, ponds.  The uneven land gives shape to the course and in the opinion of the architect himself, this was one of the most successful courses designed as it is harmoniously integrated into the splendid rural surroundings, against the backdrop of the Monte Rosa.

Castelconturbia golf course is located in the County of Conturbia, near a seventeenth-century castle, upstream of the Ticino, where the waters of Lake Maggiore gradually become a river, in a splendid setting of intact nature.

​

The modern course has been classified among the best 10 courses in Europe since 1987 and since then the coveted recognition has been awarded to the club.

​

It has hosted the Italian Open twice (1991 and 1998) and the track record, 66, is held by Josè Maria Olazabal and Costantino Rocca.
